Job Description

Spring Impact is on a mission to scale social impact. A key part of our strategy is to improve the knowledge and ability across the sector of how to scale successfully by providing practical tools and training. 

The Training Programmes Officer is a new role that will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative learning experiences, taking our work with non-profits and foundations to the next level. 

We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to social justice and addressing societal problems at scale. Someone who is interested in supporting others on their journey to impact and who want to create delightful user experiences.  

The Training Programmes Officer will work closely with the Director of Capacity Building and the wider consulting team to develop and deliver Spring Impact's digital training programmes and learning experiences. They will work closely with the programmes team to ensure programmes are impactful, valued by participants, and sustainably delivered. 

The role

The core responsibilities of this role are:

1) Managing the ongoing delivery of digital learning programmes, courses and products 

  • Working to deliver our digital learning programmes and products from recruitment and onboarding through delivery and M&E, finding ways to iterate on and improve the entire process along the way (i.e. Getting Scale Ready, Leaders of Scale

  • Presenting and facilitating training sessions 

  • Supporting and coaching organisations to help scale their impact 

  • Managing communications with participants and providing administrative course management support while working alongside team member content experts

  • Supporting the programmes team with the recruitment and selection of charities and social enterprises to new programmes 

2) Delivering impactful digital learning experiences to help mission driven organisations scale their impact 

  • Supporting the development of the digital “infrastructure” that enables great learning experiences i.e. Learning Management Systems, CRM, collection of feedback and data and participant communication

  • Applying a human-centred approach to create courses that are valued by participants 

3) Working in partnership to design, develop and deliver new products and programmes

  • Supporting the development of new capacity building offers through the application of user centred design processes

  • Contributing to the design process from insights gathered through design, testing, development and delivery

  • Working to support/enable other members of the team to take a data-driven and user-centred approach to their work

The Training Programmes Officer will also contribute to internal work in a similar way to a Consultant role within the organisation, fitting with the individual’s interests and the organisational needs.

  • Salary: £30,721 - £33,166

  • Full-Time

  • Location: London (Southwark) – The post holder will be expected to spend a minimum of one day per week in the London office. There may be opportunities to travel outside of the UK for work purposes, though this is optional. We actively support flexible and home working.

  • Applicants must reside in the UK and have the right to work in the UK for at least three years.
