CO-AX, a leading healthtech startup accelerator based at Sahlgrenska Science Park and GoCo Health Innovation City, is currently seeking a maternity leave replacement for a period of 6 months starting January 1, 2023, for the position of Communications Lead.

As the Communications Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accelerator and its startups by creating compelling content for social media, crafting engaging storytelling, designing impactful graphics for startup pitch decks, and managing event planning and coordination. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation and contribute to the growth of exciting startups.

Responsibilities

  1. Social Media Content Creation: Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance the online presence of CO-AX and its startups. Create captivating and engaging content across various platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and more.
  2. Storytelling: Craft compelling narratives and stories that effectively communicate the vision, mission, and achievements of our accelerator and its startups. Collaborate with founders and team members to capture and present their unique stories.
  3. Graphic Design: Produce visually stunning graphics and design elements for startup pitch decks, marketing collateral, websites, and other promotional materials. Ensure consistent branding and high-quality design standards are maintained.
  4. Startup Support: Collaborate closely with startups within the accelerator, assisting them with their communication needs, including copywriting, messaging development, and content creation. Provide guidance on best practices for effective communication and branding.
  5. Event Planning and Coordination: Organize and coordinate events, workshops, and demo days for the accelerator and its startups. Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, speaker coordination, budget management, and marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation, social media management, and graphic design.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and social media management tools.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of startup ecosystems and understanding of the unique challenges faced by early-stage companies is a plus.
