Job Description

At AKQA, Experience Design is core to our offering and a priority for many of our clients. We spend most of our time designing and building disruptive and delightful digital experiences and ecosystems that change the game for our clients.

As an Associate User Experience Designer, you will bring you knowledge and passion for user centered thinking to different stages of a project. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on a wide range of projects. You believe in the value of user research, can test and prototype concepts throughout the process and can adapt your approach to be pragmatic when required.

You will learn the AKQA approach to experience design, where our is focus creating deliverables that incorporate strategic thinking and creative ideas and make them clear and actionable for technical development. We have a flat hierarchy and encourage learning and development in areas that you are passionate about.


Work in collaboration with creatives, strategists and the tech team

Assist Senior User Experience Designers with projects

Proactively research and share evolving UX practices, tools and new approaches with the team

Produce tangible documentation such as; content inventories, competitive reviews, heuristic evaluation, user flows, sitemaps, user research templates and prototypes. We are open to which software you prefer to use


A recent university graduate or having had experience within the field of experience design or applied psychology / user centered thinking

Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills

A structured approach to projects and a clear design methodology

Attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and understandable manner

Working knowledge of current and upcoming digital technologies and usability best practices

A portfolio of work showing examples of the process behind the final result
