Cookpad is the largest recipe sharing community in the world and we believe we can build a better world through encouraging even more people to cook.
Everyday, home cooking has a profound impact on ourselves and the world around us: it makes us healthier, connects us with our friends and family, and makes our environment more sustainable. Through solving the problems related to everyday cooking, we help people live happier and healthier lives.
Today we are helping more than 100 million people a month and as far as we’re concerned we’ve barely got started. If you dream of making a global impact, we want to hear from you.
Design and user experience is at the heart of everything we do. Based in Bristol, UK your role as a Junior Product (UX) Designer will be to actively contribute to bringing our vision to life by creating experiences that are accessible and intuitive but feel inspiring, empowering, safe and a delight to use.
We are looking for designers who have an incredible focus on quality and a passion to represent the users you design for. You want to design not just the best thing but the right thing and know that your designs will make a positive difference to the world.
You may have some experience in the industry already but it’s not necessary. You have studied UX or HCI and have a portfolio to show us some of the projects you have worked in.
We are hiring UX/UI designers in these areas:
Content creation - Creators are at the heart of Cookpad. Our goal is to make it easier for them to capture and share their stories around cooking.
Discovery - Personal experiences help our cooks to grow so we want to design an experience that is inspiring and finds the right connections for each individual cook within the global community.
Communications - We want to look beyond comments to creating safe, easy to use ways to support real time communication to let cooks easily share their passion with others.
We are looking for designers with:
An outstanding creative portfolio that can be shared with us showing a focus on mobile UX/UI
Attention to the details of their work, and pride in their UI and interaction designs
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
