Job Description

Are you an inspiring and visionary designer with solid experience in interaction design, user experience (UX) and digital product design? Our Interaction & Branding Design department is growing, and we’re looking for another ambitious and energetic manager to co-lead this department within Experience Design.

What will you be doing?

Your main responsibility will be to lead, coach and develop a group of designers within the department who specialize in interaction design, UX, visual, branding and motion design. In your role as department manager you will enable people to grow their competence and further develop the strong design culture we have in Making Waves.

You will work strategically to strengthen the position of human-centered design and design-led processes throughout digital product creation. You will use your ability to win people over with your persona, insight and knowledge in client assignments and sales processes. You will find a good balance between skillsets, motivation and professional challenges to encourage personal growth of the team and achieve high quality results. You will work to match our talented designers with clients and assignments, and see the potential in people and where they are most likely to succeed and grow.

Together with your colleagues you will engage in recruitment events and processes, inspiring designers to choose Making Waves for their first or next career move.

Who are you?

With several years of experience as a designer, you feel ready to face new challenges. You have previous management experience and you are motivated for the task. You are a real digital thinker and an ambassador for human-centric design and co-creation. You are able to execute your ideas and plans and make things happen through your ability to convince and lead others.

You are positive and enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in people. You get motivated by contributing to others’ well being and development. Your colleagues like coming to you for support and you inspire, motivate and challenge them.
