Highly Specialized Pain Rehab Clinic at Danderyds hospital aims at improving its scheduling process in order to save staff’s time while meeting both patient and personnel preferences. We are looking for those of you who want to take this unique opportunity to help them optimizing their scheduling.

Pain is one of the most common reasons a patient sees a doctor. Most of the time, pain doesn’t last long and is quickly forgotten. Unfortunately, for some patients the pain does not pass. Their body keeps hurting for weeks, months, or even years. The Highly Specialized Pain Rehabilitation Clinic at Danderyds sjukhus offers a rehab program where a team of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers and occupational therapists offers individual and group treatments to provide coping strategies to regain control over the patient’s life again.

The multidisciplinary approach used for this patient group requires solving a complex scheduling problem in order to combine the interventions performed by each of the professions and to allocate time for individual assessment of potential patients prior to entry into the program.

Thesis goal
The goal is to improve scheduling routine in order to reduce the time spent from the staff in scheduling and allow fast rescheduling when needed. The project has been selected by a reference group from the clinic and is supported by both staff and management.
