The ideal candidate for us is passionate about creating best-in-class interfaces to our multi-platform, beautiful digital products, and a true artist who is comfortable with creating digital illustrations as part of our visual storytelling. This will require you to excel in the following:
1. Creating interactive screen interfaces for our products, services and tools within the most modern and agile ways of working
2. Taking the pictorial representation of Nordea’s tone-of-voice and apply it inside various parts of the experience.

Your future responsibilities
You will work within the unit that has created and is continuously evolving Nordea’s Design Language. You will be one of the gatekeepers to Nordea’s Visual Design standards. With those standards and the master style, you are expected to uphold and carry on designing various parts of the digital experience, as well as the illustrations to be utilized. While your focus is to help shape customer-facing products, you are also expected to contribute in maintaining and evolving our design systems, toolkits and other building blocks of Nordea’s Design Language.
What you’ll be doing:
Working with the design leadership and other designers to create multi-platform page layouts, UI components and as a nice to have extra visual material (i.e. motion)
Creating functional, instructional or mood-setting illustrations within the master style of Nordea Design Language
While being empowered by the creative directions, tools and practices of Nordea Design, being explorative and imaginative to contribute to the growth of the master style
Being comfortable working with industry standard tools (design, prototype and communication)
Being able to consult, defend, explain and communicate your design decisions or executions, while being able to onboard other members of the organization to the areas you are responsible for

You will be one of the visual designers/illustrators of our Nordea Design Language crew.
Your profile and background:
A degree in fine arts, graphic design, digital/interactive design or a similar background
3+ years of experience within digital product design and illustration (web, mobile, responsive, adaptive)
Fluency in English, spoken and written
A passion for all things related to design / art related and strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to explain your strategy/execution decisions and influence the implementation of the solutions
Excellent understanding of UX and UI design, digital illustration, digital trends and methods
Good understanding of digital brand identity, its building blocks and its application/distribution to different channels
Basic understanding of AGILE software development process principles
