The Swedish Society for Nature Conservation is the largest environmental organisation in Sweden and a popular movement standing up for nature. With over 200,000 members, we have the power to bring about change!
Since 1909, we have been involved in saving the peregrine falcon, created nature reserves, contributed to the boom in ecological products and influenced important political decisions, including with regards to climate change. We disseminate knowledge, shape public opinion and influence decision-makers – locally, nationally and globally.
By supporting and collaborating with the global environmental movement, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation (SSNC) contributes to increased participation and impact regarding issues related to sustainable development in local and global development processes. Climate, forests, agriculture, environmental pollutants, water, oceans and sustainable consumption make up our most important focus areas. Bra Miljöval (Good Environmental Choice) is our ecolabel and Sveriges Natur (Swedish Nature) is our membership magazine.
With almost a quarter of a million members, a local association in almost every single Swedish municipality and dedicated and enthusiastic members, we are in a good position to continue making a real difference for nature and the environment. Together, we can have an impact locally, regionally, nationally and globally.
