Renewcell is the first company in the world to make 100% textile-to-textile virgin quality recycling work at scale.
We receive used garments and textile production waste containing naturals fibers, like cotton or viscose. The textiles are shredded, de-buttoned, de-zipped, de-colored and turned into a slurry. Contaminants and other non-cellulosic content are separated from the slurry, what remains is CIRCULOSE® dissolving pulp made from 100% recycled textiles. Dried sheets of CIRCULOSE® go to fiber producers, then fibers go to yarn makers, fabric manufacturers, garment producers, fashion brands and finally to people. That way, CIRCULOSE® plugs right into the existing value chain as a replacement for virgin materials like trees, cotton or oil. The fibers made with CIRCULOSE® are, for all intents and purposes, the same as conventional virgin fibers made from wood, the only difference is circularity. World-leading brands have replaced virgin fibers in their retail products with CIRCULOSE® – without needing to compromise on quality.
